Working with the body as an access point to the mind, combining tantric, shamanic and connective tissue principle and techniques for greater personal freedom. 

How I work

 

​How I work is simple, my intention is to facilitate an integrative process that doesn’t shy of the body to work with it. Critical to what makes it so effective, and on so many levels is maintaining the important and delicate balance of appropriate energy exchange. 

 

Impeccable boundaries which originate at the subtle aspects of being and are refined from years of experience are the foundation of success for lasting physical and soul level shifts. â€‹

Tantric bodywork doesn’t come from Tantric or Vedic teachings as such, it's a combining of Eastern philosophical approaches to sensual forces, with Western somatic approaches to psychology. It first emerged in Germany in the 70’s and since then there have been considerable expansions, variations, progressions and of course, regressions on the subject. 

I work comfortably, respectfully and maturely with the body, The process is neither erotic nor do I engage you sexually and there is no genital touch involved, rather I work deeply in around intimate areas where so much is held, thoroughly affecting the connective tissue and everything held there.

Getting involved with the body, the music and the rhythm, really leaning in with the whole self and moving the tissue to free it.

Skillfully leaning into, kneading, massaging, pressing, holding and rolling the tissue with clear intention, understanding and breath.

Applying simple, effective methods to encourage somatic release, for clearer perspective and the natural ascension of sensual energies to balance, energize and renew your whole self, the breath being key.

As the receiver, yielding deeply enough to come to your centre and feel what you really feel, even if its truly horrible... allowing the feeling to lose its charge.

​Clear your day, sessions are 2 to 3hrs, organically and you shouldn't have anything responsible to do afterwards other than drive yourself home.

If we were to completely relax into the experience of life, our most glorious nature could be expressed. 

Some of the principles applied

​

Subtle intrinsic contractions create changes in the connective tissue which can limit movement , flow of current, lymph and blood.

Contractions or residue from our unprocessed experiences, interactions, relationships, conflicts etc. inform our perception daily.​

 

The inner thighs, pelvis and belly, the diaphragm, rib cage throat and jaw or, deep core line, is an important kinetic line to affect for greater mental, emotional, and physical freedom.

Mostly these areas are avoided, and not given the opportunity to unravel.

working deep into the tissue supporting the movement of sensual energy upward, through the heart and into the field, maintaining a clear therapeutic boundary.

​The mind and emotions are expressed in the body, they are not separate.

 

Events, thoughts, feelings or beliefs that we experience as strongly negative, undesirable or stressful, all the way to trauma (physical and emotional) cause the front body to contract, a curling inward, from the core as in the foetal position happens subtly or sometimes more obviously. 

 

Fascia (connective tissue) research reveals deep intrinsic contraction of the front body, a natural response to overwhelm, is associated with structural, postural, sexual and emotional challenges.​

Opening the front body benefits the mind, positively affecting  perception, improving breathing, oxygen intake and often correcting problems that arise from poor movement of lymph, blood and current in the pelvic region.​

There can be too much energy or too little energy, and the quality and direction of energy are important too.

Subtle, deeply intrinsic relaxation aligns us with our heart and that aspect of us that is connected with universal wisdom, or our innermost.
